Le randonneur doit marcher plusieurs heures chaque jour sur un terrain montagneux. Souvent, les conditions climatiques rendent la marche difficile. La randonn\u00e9e demande une bonne endurance, mais privil\u00e9gie la r\u00e9sistance plut\u00f4t que la vitesse. Ils portent donc tout le n\u00e9cessaire pour le camping : tente, sac de couchage, matelas de sol, et m\u00eame un r\u00e9chaud. Cette option offre une grande libert\u00e9 mais demande aussi une bonne organisation pour g\u00e9rer les ressources comme l&rsquo;eau et la nourriture. D&rsquo;autres randonneurs, peut-\u00eatre moins aventureux ou souhaitant plus de confort, choisissent de d\u00e9pendre des structures d&rsquo;accueil en dur. Cette option limite la quantit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9quipement \u00e0 transporter et permet de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de repas chauds.
